As concerned students, faculty, and community members of Georgia State University, we recognize that the character of our “public” university is being severely compromised by incessant budget cuts, fee increases, and anti-immigration legislation hitting the ground on Georgia campuses. We are witnessing the effects of political and economic policies on our campus and as our university continues to expand by building lavish dormitories and defund our academic programs. This is a crisis of priorities.
