Finals are done, the semester is over, and summer is here. A few friends decided to get together and throw a warehouse party to celebrate the break and a good cause. And if you’re going to throw a warehouse party, why not go big?

There will be a pyrotechnic show (courtesy of Cody Herndon producer of Eccentric Productions), a few awesome bands, Tom P will be performing (check him out here http://www.facebook.com/ATLtomp), Designated Deejays will be playing, Rodney Masion, and there is still more entertainment signing on so stay posted. There will a bar for drinks and food for sale inside.

The purpose of this warehouse party is to raise money for a grassroots student organization, Georgia Students for Public Higher Education (GSPHE). GSPHE is a statewide coalition of students, workers, and community members who are fighting back against the attack on public education. As a grassroots organization, we rely on our own funds to organize demonstrations and student events as well as writing and printing literature for our cause, and this is expensive. The warehouse party is to raise funds for this organization and also encourage people to get involved and how we can work together to make education accessible and affordable for everyone. We as students need to be united and fight back!

Bring your friends, feel free to invite whomever, and come out to enjoy one hell of a night. $6 is a killer deal for this much entertainment and I can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night! Enjoy, chill out, have fun, get summer started off right. Hope to see you there!
